Two of the players who participated in the 94th East West Shriners Football Game at Tropicana Field in St. Pe- tersburg, took time to do some volunteering while in town. Both are Tampa na- tives. The game features some of college football’s best and brightest prospects.
Tyree St. Louis, Offen- sive Tackle (OT) of the Uni- versity of Miami, and Tre Watson, Linebacker (LB) with the University of Mary- land, volunteered at the local Shriners Hospital.
St. Louis, a graduate of IMG Academy, and Wat- son, a graduate of Tampa Catholic High School, have more than football in com- mon. Both were involved with non-profit organiza- tions (for the past 6 years) where they learned the value of volunteering and giving back – All Sports Community Service with Tyrone Keys, and Unsigned Preps with Ricky Sailor. Both con- tinue to volunteer with the organizations.
While in the area for the East West Shriners Football Game, the two visited the young people at the Shriners Hospital, accompanied by Keys.
“I greatly enjoyed wit- nessing Tre and Tyree con- tinue to serve the community and Children at the Shriners Hospital — an experience they nor the children will truly never forget,” Keys, Founder of ASCS, said.
As a Senior, in 2018, Watson was named to FWAA Second Team All- American, 2018 First Team All-Big Ten, led Big Ten in tackles/g (9.6) and ranked second in solo tackles/g (5.9). He also led the Big Ten with five interceptions, which are tied for the most by a linebacker in program his- tory.
“What doesn’t necessarily jump off Watson’s tape is his ability to flourish amid

utter chaos, an attribute that could endear him to prospec- tive NFL employers,” Keys said.
Watson has graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health, and he’s working towards his gradu- ate degree in Master’s of Public Health: Behavioral and Community Health.
Tampa native, Nate Peo- ples coached Tre Watson as a freshman college stu- dent.
St. Louis’ 2018 (Senior) season: Started all 13 games at left tackle in another
standout season, earned All- ACC Honorable Mention recognition, ended career on streak 34 straight starts, longest streak on of- fense. He is ranked as the ninth-best offensive lineman in the state of Florida by ESPN.com.
St. Louis attended the Nike Football Training Camp in Orlando prior to his senior season.
While in high school, he was honored as the MVP of the offensive line group at the Rivals Camp Series in Or- lando.
A 39-year-old Spring Hill man died Sunday. He was involved in an accident with a wrong way driver.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 2 a.m., on State Road 589, north of County Line Road in Hernando County.
Rhiddari D. McKen- zie was driving a 2006 Mini Cooper northbound on State Road 589. His vehicle was struck head on by a 2014 GMC Pickup driven by Jose Esteban Jimenez, 39, of Frostproof. Officials said heavy fog was in the area when the collision took place.
After the collision, McKenzie’s vehicle burst

Driver Dies After Striking Several Parked Cars
A 49-year-old Seffner man died Sunday after being involved in a traffic accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of Wisteria Dr. and Larch Dr. in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, John An- thony Lopez was driving a 2015 Harley Davidson mo- torcycle southbound on Larch Drive, approaching a stop sign at Wisteria Dr.
For unknown reasons, Lopez failed to stop at the
intersection. The motorcycle collided with a 1993 GMC Sierra parked in a driveway. The impact caused the vehi- cle to run into the closed garage door. It then collided with a parked 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, and a 2018 Mini Cooper. Both ve- hicles were parked an unoc- cupied, officials said.
Lopez was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his in- juries. The investigation is continuing.
