Jeremiah Bles’d Wicks is quickly mak- ing a name for himself in the basketball arena. Playing on several basketball teams in the Bay area, he is stunning his audiences, amazing his coaches, and making his parents, Mr. Robert and Dr. Phyllis Wicks very proud.
His basketball coaches, all agree that Jer- emiah is a star athlete with amazing talent and a threat every time he has the basketball, averaging 20 plus points a game. He is being recognized by scouts and coaches as he is be- coming known as the “dude with the pretty shot.” A team leader of the AAU Team Under Pressure, and playing a grade up with Bay Area Hoops.
Jeremiah has been featured @Big Shots Nation Basketball, Best of the Best Basket- ball, Tony Perkins’ Comin For That #1 Spot Showcase, Bay Area Hoop Breakdown Showcase, and he made the Varsity Basket- ball team at Bayshore Christian Academy as an 8th grader. He is excited about his upcom- ing 9th grade year as a Faith Warrior at Bayshore Christian.
Jeremiah trains with his dad every day and has set his goals on playing professional
basketball. His favorite NBA player is
Stephen Curry.
Jeremiah does more than assists on the
basketball court. He participates in feeding the hungry with Mentors For Ministry, under the direction of his aunt, Dr. Philetha Tucker-Johnson, and has donated time to Metropolitan Ministries. Each year he do- nates bags of clothes and canned goods to the Red Cross. He has assisted teachers in their classrooms, and assisted coaches on the court.
Jeremiah is not only an athlete, but he plays drums, acts, and dances. He will be fea- tured in the upcoming gospel play, Whatcha Gone Do When They Come For You in No- vember with Bles'd Productions. The com- pany was named after Jeremiah's middle name.

Following Truth, Rejecting Lies
Lord, I pray that You will fill (name of child) with Your Spirit of truth. Give her (him) a heart that loves truth and follows after it rejecting all lies as a mani- festation of the enemy. Flush out anything in her (him) that would entertain a lying spirit and cleanse her (him) from any death that has crept in as a result of lies she (he) may have spoken or thought. I pray that she (he) not be blinded or deceived, but always be able to clearly understand Your truth.
