Health Forum Targets Men And Women
MS. RHONDA GRAY Tampa Police Community Service Officer
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
This month, the focus of the monthly Health Forum targets locating individuals suffering from cognitive condition. The organizations have invited a guest speaker to address the system to help locate a missing person.
The next Health Forum is set to take place on Friday, April 29th. It will begin at 11 a.m., and will be held at the College Hill Church Of God In Christ, 6414 N. 30th Street, Superin- tendent Charles Davis, pas- tor.
The speaker is Ms. Rhonda Gray, a Community Service Officer with the Tampa Police Department. She will talk about SafetyNet.
The SafetyNet Tracking Sys- tem helps law enforcement agencies locate missing persons quickly. It comes in the form of a bracelet that is worn all of the time. The SafteyNet Bracelet features a radio frequency transmitter that emits a contin- uous signal.
The Bracelet has a secure database of information that can help in rescue operations. Additionally, the company of- fers customer service 24 hours a day.
Once a person wearing the SafetyNet Bracelet has been re- ported missing to law enforce- ment, trained search and rescue teams track the signal emitted from the SafetyNet Bracelet. The missing person is then returned home.
The Bracelet is successful be- cause it can still send the signal in wooded areas, building, and shallow water. Since its intro- duction in 2010, more than 500 missing persons have been lo- cated.
The forum is open to the public, and men and women are encouraged to attend. For additional information about the forum contact, Chester White, at (813) 237-6061, or Coach Billy Reed, at (813) 744-4923.

The sale price was $19 mil- lion. With a 15-year lease, the Times will remain a tenant and occupy nearly half the building, which will still bear the newspaper’s name.
The Times’ Tampa office on Ashley Street is located in a building owned by Denholtz Associates that also bears the newspaper’s name.

The National Council of Negro Women-Tampa Metro- politan Section participated in "the Black Experience" pro- gram at Robert Saunders Li- brary on April 4, 2016. The Black Experience is sponsored monthly featuring a Black or- ganization who shares with the public "their story."
