Driver Charged In Fatal Crash That Killed Passenger
Police Search For Suspects In Car Burglaries
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for four men in connection with car burgla- ries.

Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes Involving Students

A middle school teacher has been arrested and is fac- ing several charges. He is ac- cused of having inappropriate relationships with two stu- dents.
In reference to the first victim, Alex Jeffrey Hull, 31, of Plant City, is charged with 2 counts of sexual bat- tery, 4 counts of lewd and las- civious molestation, 2 counts of lewd and lascivious con- duct and 2 counts of showing obscene materials to minors.
In reference to the second victim, Hull is charged with 3 counts of sexual battery, 1 count of lewd and lascivious molestation, 1 count of lewd and lascivious conduct and 1 count of showing obscene materials to minors.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the crimes took place between November 2017 and May 2018, at Benito Middle School, where Hull was a teacher. Both victims were students.
The incidents were brought to the attention of law enforcement after the parent of one of the victims notified police.
Police said there is no evi- dence that there are other vic- tims. However, police are urging parents or students with knowledge about other possible victims to contact the Tampa Police Depart- ment at (813) 231-6130.

MS. TAKENYA JAMES ... Killed in accident
During the early morning hours of January 24th, a traffic accident claimed the life of a Tampa woman. Police have ar- rested the driver of the other vehicle in connection with the accident.
The accident took place around 1 a. m., on Morris Bridge Road.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Ms. Camaren Edson, 23, was driving a 2003 Nissan Murano northbound on Mor- ris Bridge Road, north of Davis Road. Ms. Uniquea Hamil- ton, 24, was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion, southbound. Ms. Takenya James, 35, was the passenger in Ms. Hamil- ton’s vehicle.

into the path of Ms. Hamil- ton’s vehicle.
The Nissan struck the front of the Ford, resulting in all three people being seriously injured. Ms. Hamilton and Ms. Edson were transported to Tampa General Hospital.
Ms. James was trans- ported to Florida Hospital, where she later died.
Ms. Edson was arrested on Monday and charged with vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, reckless driving with property damage, DUI with serious bodily injury, reckless driving with serious bodily injury, and driving under the influence with prop- erty damage.
Ms. Edson was being held at the Hillsborough County jail and her bond was set at $134,500.

Arizona Man On
Teen Causes Nearly $10,000 In Damage Vandalizing 33 Cars
A 30-year-old Tucson, Arizona man has been ar- rested in connection with sex crimes involving a child. He was taken into custody last Thursday.
Kevin Dock was charged with 1 count of travel to meet a child after using computer to lure; 5 counts of directing and pro- moting sexual performance by a child; 5 counts of use of a computer to seduce, solicit, or lure a child; 1 count of lewd battery; and 1 count of transmitting material harm- ful to a child.
According to police, Dock solicited a Winter Haven teenager online, sent her pornographic photos of him, video chatted with her and solicited her to perform sex acts. He is also accused of giving her directions on how to buy a bus ticket to visit him in Arizona to be his “sex slave and other stuff.”
The parents of the victim reported her missing on July 30th. During the investiga- tion, police noticed the Grey- hound bus tickets in the girl’s room with the name, “Kevin Dock” on them.
When the victim returned home, she told her parents she was going to visit a “friend” in Arizona. She also

told them his name was Kevin Dock and that she had met him online.
Dock was positively identified as the suspect after police talked with the victim and reviewed her communications devices.
Detectives began chatting with Dock, posing as the victim online. A warrant was issued for his arrest and de- tectives contacted the Tuc- son Police Department for assistance in locating him.
Detectives then traveled to Arizona to interview Dock. The Tucson Police Department also has an open investigation of Dock due to child pornography discovered during the search of his home. He will be ex- tradited to Polk County to face the charges.
A 16-year-old has been ar- rested in connection with the smashing of windows and scratching 36 vehicles. The vandalism took place on July 16th, in three Riverview neigh- borhoods.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Robert Hackett al- legedly drove through the neighborhoods, damaging ve- hicles parked in driveways. One of the vehicles damaged was a HCSO Process Server ve- hicle.
During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Hackett, who is a student at East Bay High School, as the suspect. During questioning, he admitted to using his 2006 BMW to commit the offenses, police said.
He was charged with 1 count of felony criminal mis- chief and 32 counts of misde- meanor criminal mischief.

He was taken into custody and processed at the Juvenile Assessment Center.
The investigation is contin- uing and detectives are trying to determine if the same per- son is responsible for all of the crimes.
