A Day at the Limerick Races
Last of the Ei650 PIC Alarm Tree for Ian
Ellie Woodland, Diane Barrett, Marie McNamara & Doris Przybylak with
the last build of the Ei650 Pic Alarm A special tree was planted in Shannon in memory of our late
colleague Ian Dunn
At a race meeting in Limerick in 2024, Ei won a prize of a ‘Day at the
Races’ for 30 people, which we took up on Sat 12th July. We had no
problem filling the 30 places! We had our own private box overlooking
the course with our own bar and Tote-betting facility! It was one of the
warmest days of the year with temperature in the 30’s!, but we sheltered
from the heat in our own private box!
Bets were struck, and thankfully there were more winners than losers!

It was such a success that we organized another race day on 18th October
and this time we had a second box to accommodate the 60 racegoers!
Looks like a Day at the Races will become a regular fixture in our Sports
& Social calendar!
