The proposed customer program structure focuses on delivering improved supplier sustainability and performance, and also integrates skills development, targeting increased qualification levels, Job Opportunities and ultimately Economic Value Add.
The program structure focuses on:
1. Corporate Strategic Alignment: The proposed program aims to further link ESD objectives to that of the customers strategy. This ensures that the initiative’s ROI is achieved by it directly contributing to the success of the overall business.
2. Best Practice Codes: While targeting linkage to the customers strategy, the proposed program aims at ensuring it also delivers on the codes’ objectives and maximum score achievement
3. Core Principles: Both ED and SD solutions are designed to stay true to these core principles i.e. measurable impact targeting non-traditional markets, youth and women in business.
4. Enterprise Development: The Enterprise Development solution ensures focus on development in the industry specific market whilst at the same time delivering development programs linked to community and economic impact.
5. Supplier Development: Our Supplier Development solution targets both supply chain and supplier performance improvement, existing supplier transformation whilst at the same time linking skills development elements.
6. Return-On Investment: The design and implementation of the program targets maximum corporate return on investment via impact on suppliers, commercial elements and future reduction of operational costs throughout the organisation.
7. Key Performance Indicators: All elements of the program are tracked and measured ensuring that the initiatives have an impact not only on ROI and supplier performance but delivers on job creation and economic value add indicators.
The program focuses on further alignment of the ESD initiative to the company strategy, the National Development Plan and effective delivery against the revised B-BBEE codes. The proposed program has been designed to ensure delivery of key performance indicators:
1. Improving skills in both the ED and SD initiative
2. Ensuring the broader ESD gap is closed by further aligning to NDP objectives i.e. knowledge transfer, supplier and strategy link and measurable impact
