The helm of the Moore Funeral home was turned over to Donald and Joan, under the watchful eye of Kathryne, upon the passing of Lannis, in 1974. Kathryne, the matriarch and surviving founder of the Moore Funeral Home, continued in her capacity until her death in 1988. Donald became the sole owner of the Moore Funeral Home and, along with Joan, they maintained the same standards of excellence. Joan died in 1994 and in 2002, Donald died.

New York. Donna is a
Central High graduate,
class on 1977. She holds a BS in Nursing from Adelphi University, class of 1981. In 1993 she attended the American McAllister Institute were she obtained a Diploma in Funeral Service. In 1994 she became a licensed New York State Funeral Director. After having worked in all facets of the business under the direction of Donald R. Moore, her father, Donna grew to love the business and gained valuable insight and experience in managing it. By the time her father, passed in 2004. Donna was uniquely qualified to take over the reins and continue the family legacy for a third generation. Donna is a past President of the Valley Stream Rotary Club. She lives hers in the Valley Stream community with her husband Edward.

Marianne Moore
completes the other

Moore Funeral Home. She is an early graduate of Valley Stream Central High school, class of 1979. She holds a BA from Adelphi University, class of 1983 and an MA from New York University, class of 1984. Continuing to be pulled by an energetic spirit, she became a para-legal and worked for several years in Manhattan for various law firms. In 1991 Victoria Kathryne, her daughter was born. In 1993 Matthew James, her son was born. Having fulfilled her desire for a family, she answered a request from her father, (Donald R. Moore) to work in the family business. She graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute in 1998. Having worked in The Moore Funeral Home for more than a dozen years prior to graduation she became duly licensed in 2000.
