Francis Brenna, the founder of Parkside Memorial Home in 1969, now Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home began with a small funeral home on High Street in the City of Burlington, NJ called Brenna Funeral Home. For many years he grew his business before moving to Ewing Township with his family. He purchased Frank Cellini’s Funeral business formerly located on Brunswick Avenue in North Trenton. He built up a strong following in the Ewing Township community.
His son Leonard Brenna took over the daily operations of the funeral business when his father passed away in 1985. In 1992, Leonard Brenna built the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home and dedicated it in his father’s memory. Both funeral homes are now run by his wife Maria Brenna who took over after her husband Leonard Brenna passed away in 2008. The Brenna family believes in treating the families that they serve like their own family, with a strong dedication to attending to the individual wishes of those they serve with caring and compassion.
