WEDDING PLANNING GUIDE
THE WEDDING ENTERTAINMENT
Although you, yourselves, will be the stars of this special ‘show’ - let’s not forget that there will be many long periods while you are being photographed; guests are arriving or while the venue is being changed over ready for the evening party. During these times some entertainment will break the ice between your families, distract younger guests and provide a sense of flow between the main parts of the day.

Bringing in a DJ or live music makes sure the party goes well into the evening. DJs are in high demand, and the best ones will be booked up quickly, so make sure to book in advance. Think about your style of music and put together a list of requested songs for the DJ to mix into the playlist for your special day alongside crowd favourites.
If you’re looking for a more sophisticated style, live music can bring warmth and life to your party or ceremony. Book a guitarist, pianist, or harpist for your ceremony to play gently as you walk down the aisle. Or, book a live band for the reception to really wow your guests. Live music is always special, but you might want to consider hiring a DJ for in-between sets to keep the party going.
Other great entertainment options are photobooths and party games. Setting up a backdrop and bringing in a photobooth ensures that you and your guests remember your wedding forever with lots of pictures and props. Party games—such as the bouquet toss, the shoe game, or trivia—can end with the whole room roaring with laughter, while keeping guests of all ages engaged and entertained.
In the end, remember that it is your special day. Make sure that it is as personal, memorable, and unique as the two of you.
