Vinny Romeo rapidly became a fixture in the Patchogue community and served on the Patchogue-Medford Board of Education, fostered the Patchogue- Medford Youth Soccer League and helped lay the groundwork for the Nassau- Suffolk Funeral Directors Association, which holds an annual golf outing in his memory.

After graduating from Patchogue-Medford
HS, He attended Hofstra
University and later, received a degree in Mortuary Science from Nassau County Community College. At an early age, David assisted his father, the late Vincent Romeo, with many aspects of the family business. Like his father, David dedicated himself to funeral service and obtained his funeral director’s license in 2002. Following the passing of his mother, Antoinette, in 2011; David assumed the ownership of the Ruland Funeral Home and continues their legacy of caring and compassionate service to the families of the greater-Patchogue area..
David is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), the New York State Funeral Director Association (NYSFD), and the Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association (NSFDA).
David is actively involved with many local churches and organizations including the Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. Annually, he underwrites a scholarship in his parents name for the benefit of local P-M High School students, and he and his wife are proud supporters of the ASPCA and the Humane Society.
David currently lives in Patchogue with his wife, Jennifer, and his two dogs Chloe & Coco. In his spare time David enjoys golfing, skiing, and playing the piano.

David, into a more active role in the daily operation of our firm. In the early 1990’s, Antoinette Romeo computerized the records keeping processes at the funeral home and, seeing the desire for on-line information, launched our first website in the late 1990’s.
In 2001, David Romeo, proudly joined the firm as a director and worked alongside his mom until her passing in early 2011.
Today, David Romeo continues the legacy handed down from C.W. Ruland and his own parents by providing dignified and affordable funeral and cremation services to the greater Patchogue-Medford area.
