I was born and raised in Hutchinson, Minnesota and moved to Bozeman in 2000 to attend college at Montana State University. I received my Doctorate in Computer Science in 2015 and have been employed at a local software company named Workiva Inc. ever since.
I love Montana and enjoy mountain biking, hiking, running, cross country skiing, camping, riding snowmobiles and ATV’s.
I met Charlie in 2019 and got to know the wonderful staff that makes Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service the superb company that it is. I became interested in funeral service through Charlie’s enthusiasm in the care of the families we serve. While I continue my work in the software industry, I assist with funeral services, support the staff and provide guidance in the continued service of our families.

Ray joined the Dahl team in June 2022. A Montana native, he spent his formative years in Great Falls before attending Montana State University in Bozeman. While at college in the late 1980s, Ray joined a volunteer fire department in South Bozeman that his grandfather helped establish. That led to an almost 30-year career in emergency services in several communities around Montana. After retiring from the fire service, Ray went back to school, graduating cum laude from the American Academy McAllister Institute with a degree in Funeral Service and Mortuary Science. Ray feels privileged to show up every day to help folks in their time of need by providing compassionate care and supportive guidance as they navigate the end of life wishes of their loved one.
