I am not sure how many of you are interested in starting and owning a very successful and thriving business, but if you are currently looking for inspiration and/or motivation, then look no further. During a recent interview with Deanna with The Deanna Upshaw Agency, an Atlanta- based insurance company, we were able to uncover some of her “secret sauce” to success and we even had a chance to gather a few additional inside track “tidbits” about her that we did not know before. Look, when you find someone who bosses-up, paves the way, learns from her mistakes and can look really, really stunningly “picturesque” doing all of that, then you really need to read on.
Allow us to introduce Deanna and learn a little bit about her business, her “why” and lifestyle. Shardley: “So tell us Deanna, how are you?” Deanna: “I am doing well Shardley... thank you for asking.”
Shardley: “Let’s get right to it. Starting or owning a small business is no small feat. What has helped to shape or develop to give you the necessary “ye ne se qua,” to be able to do this?
Deanna: “Wow Shardley... you know... I would have to say lots of prayers and the power of grit that I learned from the military. Lots of support from my family and friends, they are there for me pushing and just loving on me. I am especially able to bounce off ideas with my sister.
Shardley: “You are very fortunate to have that type of support base. That’s really good. Huh... so you are a Veteran? Thank you for your service.” Deanna: “Welcome”... (Deanna blushes as she responds).
