I have a confession to make...
I am completely, utterly and obviously flawed...
I don't always say or do the "right" thing ...
I sometimes play when i should work...sometimes I work,
when i should play...
Minor things irk me... Major things fly over my head...
..And honestly,I'm cool with that....
Comforted in the truth, that we're all covered beneath the
same blanket....
But too often we forget...
And...we allow ourselves the luxury of believing that although, NOT perfect, somehow, OUR imperfection ,doesn't rise to the level of imperfection as those around us....
...And I get it...
It's much easier to view our imperfections as an "effect" of whatever "lack" the other person has...
It's NOT us...
Clearly, "if THEY were better ... It would ALLOW us to be better...
It sounds good...
But... It's simply not true...
We're ALL flawed... and quite often , FAR more flawed than WE believe...
Truly understanding that... Humbles you...
Anger and judgement , become tempered by respect and patience.
Not because you no longer care... but because you realize the only difference between their imperfections and yours... ......
Is the person in the mirror looking back.
