Independently Speaking
NO LIMITS!!! I have longed to say those words. You can only understand the significance of this expression if you’ve lived a great portion of your life borrowing a page or chapter of someone else’s or everyone else’s life.
NO LIMITS!!! Is what I have found in the depth of my soul... except I didn’t even know it has dwelled there all along. It has always been a part of me, except I didn’t think it belonged to me. How could I have truly encourage anyone to reach for the stars when the sum total of my whole entire experience has been spent “stargazing”?
Was my existence even real? I didn’t know how to belong to me. I belonged to everyone. Oblige me for a second. Look, I was stuck... living and breathing out of a box!
At some point, if you find yourself living and experiencing life from that stagnant viewpoint, you have to realize that something HAS to be done – FAST! Because if not soon enough, your total existence will be cut very short. You will barely exist and not truly live. Is like living on a life support machine. Never knowing when someone is going to pull the plug on you. Everyone else having the say, power or influence over you. Controlling your life. Isn’t that what this conversation is all about? Independence!!!
“Freedom” is not necessarily just a reflection of history or an expression to commemorate a holiday. The question is, “Are you free?”
See, freedom is, as freedom does. Don’t talk or say that you are free – BE free. Now understand this very important fact. Freedom comes with responsibility. You have a responsibility to yourself that once you have been released from any strongholds or chokeholds of your life, that you try to ensure that you are not entangled again. Also, the liberty that you have experienced, it’s not just for you. Reach back and share to whomever will listen. Now, don’t be discouraged. Nothing is more defeating than seeing your family members, friends or colleagues in trouble bondage, yet they don’t realize it for themselves. They have not arrived, but you have. Keep sharing, supporting and speaking kind words of freedom to them. One day, they will wake up and realize that the cage door has been opened, and they are able to walk out. But this all starts with you. You have spent your entire life living for them, so this is for you.
Please do not remain the victim, complaisant or stuck. If you have dreams, talents and unimaginable potential, then the sky is the limit... remember, NO LIMITS!!!
This is the time of year when we hear about the red, white and blue. Baby, this is about “you”.
Free yourself. Think “independently” for a day, and watch what happens! []
