Keep in mind that when flying at cabin altitude + 2500 ft, the fuel consumption in CONF 1, with landing gear down, will be about 2.1 times that consumed in clean configuration.

– FCU SPEED SELECTION KNOB.............PULL AND TURN Select the most appropriate speed, taking into account the time to destination, the fuel consumption and the fact that low speed could reduce the consequences of possible structural damage, if the bomb explodes.
