Genesee County Landbank
Michelle Wildman has been the Executive Director of the Genesee County Landbank since November, 2016. In this presentation, she will update us on the important work that is being done to improve Flint’s vacant and abandoned housing situation. She is carrying on the great work started by current Congressman Dan Kildee, who spoke to the Applewood Lecture Series in 2011.

Kettering University Centennial Celebration
Join in the celebration of the Kettering University Centennial Celebration! Greg Miller will provide great insight on 100 year old history of what began as the Flint School of Automotive Trade in October 14, 1919. In 1923 the school changed its name to Flint Institute of Technology and then became General Motors Institute in 1926. Finally, in 1988 the name was again changed to Kettering University. In addition to the rich history of this prestigious university, Greg will discuss the current and future state of Autonomous Vehicles!

The RMS Titanic - A Night to Remember
Barbara is a Museum Curator and an accredited Fashion Historian and speaker. Barbara and her husband David, offer a historical presentation on “The Titanic- A Night to Remember” taking us back over 100 years to April 1914. The Kincaides’ dress in authentic Edwardian vintage attire to help create the shipboard ambiance for the audience. In addition to a display of objects and items related to the iconic ship and its’ passengers, historic facts and events are also presented.
