Corporate Training
Lean Manufacturing
Time: 4 hours – March 11, 2019, 8 am – 12 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
The student will be exposed to terms, concepts and theory relating to Lean Manufacturing. The presentation will cover an explanation of the primary tools and how they are used to drive waste from a process. They will leave with an understanding of how lean manufacturing tools can assist their organization in the elimination of waste.
5S
Time: 4 hours - March 11, 2019, 1 pm – 5 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
5S is the workplace organization tool for a company to use to begin their Lean Journey. 5S begins the culture building that an organization needs to be successful at the other Lean Tools.
Kaizen
Time: 4 hours – March 12, 2019, 8 am – 12 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
The student will learn how Kaizen works to improve the philosophy or practices of an organization and focuses upon continuous improvement activities. When used in the business sense and applied to the workplace, kaizen typically refers to activities that continually improve all functions of a business, from manufacturing to management and from the CEO to the workers. By improving standardized activities and processes, kaizen aims to eliminate waste.
PDCA
Time: 4 hours - March 12, 2019, 1 pm – 5 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
PDCA an iterative four-step management method used in business for the control and continuous improvement
of processes and products. It is also known as the Deming circle/cycle/wheel, Shewhart cycle, control circle/cycle, or plan–do–study–act (PDSA). It is the most commonly used form of problem solving. The PDCA method is the primary method of problem solving used in Lean Manufacturing. 5 Why’s is the primary root cause analysis method used in PDCA.
SPC- Statistical Process Control
Time: 4 hours – March 13, 2019, 8 am – 12 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
This class can be effective for shop floor employees, engineers and internal auditors. The proper understanding of SPC tools is important to preventing processing and product issues. Using the correct charting methods and effec- tive implementation are crucial to an organizations’ success. This course leads students to a thorough understand- ing of how to perform and use SPC effectively.
Mistake Proofing
Time: 4 hours - March 13, 2019, 1 pm – 5 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
Mistake Proofing (Poka Yoke) is a key component of the Toyota Production System. This component teaches par- ticipants how to help prevent defects from being produced, optimizing processes by eliminating the cost of sorting inventory after defects are found. Different approaches to implementing mistake proofing devices are reviewed.
ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditing
Time: 16 hours - March 14 & 15, 2019, 8 am – 5 pm
Location: Main Campus RTC Building
The student learns the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard from an auditor’s perspective. They will learn how to perform audits to support a company’s certification and continuous improvement program. The class participates in Q&A’s and situation testing to practice the skills learned in the class.
