 Poem
Poem- Embrace By: Shakeysha Collins
A smile taken so suddenly.
Hearts broken abruptly.
The rain washed the traces away.
But your memories will be embraced.
Our tears are not of sadness but happiness. Happiness that came from knowing a person like you. Talking to a person like you, laughing with a person like you. Creating memories with a person like you.
You taught us not to cry over the time we have lost.
But to embrace every second that we have.
This is not a goodbye, but a see you later.
Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
Cross the bridge and fly free.
For you will never be forgotten.
