Adult Learning Center partners host their first Volunteer Tutor training. 50+
volunteers are trained.
Flint Family Literacy partners host the Day of PACT to engage parents and children,

FGLN is chosen by the Annie E. Casey Foundation to host the press conference for
the release of their annual Kids Count Data Book.
The Network is honored as a pacesetter by the Campaign for Grade-Level
Reading for the second year in a row.
The Flint & Genesee Literacy Network transitions into a larger office space, located
on the ground floor of the Plaza One Building, at 111 E. Court Street in downtown
The Literacy Network is invited to participate in the inaugural Education ReDesign
Lab, hosted by the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where FGLN staff are
able to learn directly from Harvard faculty.
Winter 2019
Ms. Ella Gill joins the Literacy Network team as a SeniorCorps Volunteer (RSVP).
With support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, FGLN holds its first Family-Centered
Coaching Training.
Spring 2019
