Obituary
Pearl Mae (Pudding) Robbs was born January 2, 1942, in Grenada, Mississippi. The daughter of Edward and Lucy Jones. The family moved to Flint, Michigan when she was five years old. She attended Flint Northern high school graduating in 1961. She was unit- ed in Holy matrimony on February 18, 1961 to Evangelist Harold Maxwell Robbs. From that union they had four children, Harold Jr., Pearlie (Precious), Jennifer and Kimberly. Pearl retired from Hurley Medical Center in 2002. She resided in Flint, Michigan until 2016 when she moved to Byron Center, Michigan.
Pearl Mae Robbs accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Prior to moving to the Grand Rapids area, she was a member of Christ Fellowship and then St. Paul Mis- sionary Baptist Church (Rev. Michael Pettigrew Pastor). In 2016, she moved to the Grand Rapids area and later became a member of New Hope Baptist Church under the lead- ership of Reverend, Dr. Howard Earle Jr. While living in Grand Rapids she made many friends. She loved her family, traveling with her sisters, shopping for clothes and shoes as she celebrated life to the fullest.
Pearl Mae Robbs leaves to cherish her memory: son Harold Jr. (Sharon) Robbs of Austin, TX; two daughters, Jennifer Robbs of Flint, MI and Kimberly (Jermaine) Reese of Byron Center, MI; granddaughter Kayla Robbs; grandson Nehemiah Moore; great granddaugh- ters Payton Williams and Phoenix Payton all of Flint, MI; brothers Alvin (Vanear) Jones of Mt. Morris, MI; Edward Jones of Flint, MI; sisters, Elizabeth Martin, Clara (Wiley) Viverette, all of Brunswick, GA; Gestine (Willie) Brown of Fort Mill, SC; brothers-in-law: Richard Robbs of Ann Arbor, MI; George (Carol) Robbs of San Diego, CA; sisters-in-law: Paula Collier of Calabasas, CA; Dorothy Jones of Flint, MI; Paula Jones of Charlotte, NC; Liseth Jones of Millington, TN; Anna Jones of Antioch TN; Renee Jones of Plano, TX; Betty Garrett of Flint; Toshiko Robbs of Oxnard, CA; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends including special friends Mildred Kilgore and Mae Black.
Pearl Mae Robbs was preceded in death by her husband Evangelist Harold Maxwell Robbs Sr., daughter Pearlie “Precious” Robbs, parents Edward and Lucy Jones, brothers, Robert Jones, Russell Jones, Harrison Jones, Clark Jones, Hervey Jones, Thurman Jones, Ken Jones, and special friends Beverly Miller and Jeffie Cummings.
