Poem
O Lord, I am home in Heaven. My Dear Husband Ulysses, Granddaughter
Monique, and Loving Nephew Major, I’m so happy and so bright!
And my dear preceding siblings; Emma, Green Thomas, Maudie, Eldora, Laura, Rosabell, Emma Gene, and Mattie Pearl, there is perfect joy and beauty In the everlasting light.
And to my dear children; Butch & Janice, Sissy, Bobby & Carol, Cookie & Greg, and Jeffrey & Jeanette, all the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed. I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.
My dear surviving sister Ora Lee, did you wonder why I so calmly trod the valley of the shade? Oh! But Jesus’ love illumined every dark and fearful glade. And He came Himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread.
Doreen, Ulonda, and Latoya & Ryan, with Jesus’ arm to lean on, could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still.
Lisa and Ray, try to look beyond Earth’s shadows, pray to trust our Father’s will.
Malika, Ahmad & Tiare, and Ray & Diana, there is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand.
Joy and Tiffany, do it now, while life remaineth – you shall rest in Jesus’ land. Jevon and JAllen & Blanka, please know, when that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home.
And to my great-grands; Candyce, Ian, Kendra, Kendrick, Khari, Kya, Kira, Kaylan, Kayla, Asa, Aila, Amadi, Aries, Ashton, Persha, Dinasia, Nathan, Raanna, Donell, Breant, Xolain, and Danielle, Oh! The rapture of that meeting. Oh! The joy to see you come!
My Dear, great-great granddaughter, Jordyn, my host of family and friends, don’t weep for me for I’ve made it home, through Heavens gates, there I may roam.
Wipe your tears and dry your eyes. I’m in a better place - with Heaven as my prize.
Don’t weep for me, no tears and no sorrow. Live life for Jesus, He promises tomorrow.
