The Wedding That Didn’t Happen—Myshkin and Nastasya,

On the wedding day, Myshkin waits at the church for a beautifully attired Nastasya. Nastasya, however, has changed her mind. She cannot bring herself to marry the prince; he is too good, and she is too tarnished, so she flees in her wedding dress. The painter, however, sees them as united.
