   go before you into Galilee.” But Peter replied, “Even if all others will stumble because of you, I never will!” Jesus said to him, “Amen, I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said likewise. Then Jesus arrived with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.” He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and he began to feel sadness and anguish. Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is extremely sorrowful, even unto death. Stay here, and watch with me.” He went a little for- ward, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what
you will.”

When he returned to the disciples and found them sleeping, he said to Peter, “Could you not watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray, so that you may not enter into temptation.
