Ι Heard You…
i thank you for my pain
“Not only that, but we also glory in our sufferings,
knowing that suffering produces perseverance; per-
severance, character; and character, hope. And hope
does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been
poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who
has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
Christ, I thank You for my pain!
Because it frees me from the illusion
Of deceptive self-worth, self-sufficiency,
and self-confidence
Of the created,
The deceptive self-worth, self-sufficiency,
and self-confidence
Of my own self!
