light—truth
Glory to You who have shown us the light!
Lord Creator,
For all other things You created, we say “You made.”
But for the light, which is untouchable and only seen,
we say “You showed.”
Make us people of light and not of darkness.
Bright and not dark.
Show us Your Light,
illuminate the path of our lives.
Bring us out of the dark basements and burrows
of falsehood and hypocrisy,
and teach us uprightness and sincerity.
Illuminate all the loving relationships we form
so that they may have no innuendos,
second thoughts, or hidden desires.
Since You are omnipresent,
since everything happens before Your loving eyes,
since there is nothing hidden from the grandeur
of Your love and mercy,
which lovingly and discreetly pursues us.
