Christ, God, Friend, Brother, Little Brother,
we beg You:
We do not know, and perhaps we cannot love!
Be Yourself, through us, the Love toward our neighbor,
(that is, the whole world).
Be Yourself, through us, the Love toward our
(temporarily supposed) enemies!
Be Yourself the Forgiveness of those who
(temporarily think that) they want to harm us!
Be Yourself the endless and irrevocable Forgiveness of
all of us!
Be Yourself the Strength of our faith.
Be Yourself, through us, the Peace of the world!
Be Yourself the Light of our Shepherds.
Be Yourself, through us, the Healing of divisions.
Be Yourself the Strength of the ascetics’ self-control.
Be Yourself the pure and innocent Love and trust of
married couples.
Be Yourself the Endurance, Relief, and Joy of women in
labor.
Be Yourself the Patience, Faith, and Joy of new mothers.
