Prayer B o ok
thirst for life
Ephemeral existences, lonely, imaginary, sorrowful,
we are born into a temporary being,
and hastily we fade away forever!
Thus, we wither in the fleeting now.
We agonize over a deceptive tomorrow, always doubtful
if it even exists.
The future dissolves into the past,
and whatever we anticipate, comes and goes swiftly.
Only uncertainty remains,
like a rotten bridge or like our shattered wings
leaving us suspended in endless fall
into the chaos we have built and possessed ourselves!
An endless drain of death.
Come, Lord.
Come, Christ, be born in places of desolation,
in our imprisonment in the non-existent void of our
self!
Come, Light, be born in the abyss of our darkness!
Come, Lord, here, today come,
Lord, come now!
Come here to be born!
