He preserves a natural immortality, but because He grants
personal existence through communion.
In the end, everything depends on this: that being itself is
not secured by nature, but given in relationship. Love, as free-
dom, is not an attribute added to existence—it is the very
ground of existence.
Only an ontology of love can explain how beings truly ex-
ist—not as isolated entities, but as persons in communion.
