life grounded in freedom, gratitude, and communion.
If existence itself is a gift of freedom, and if the human be-
ing is called to receive this gift eucharistically, then we must
now ask what it means to exist as human—to be created in the
image of God, and to live this freedom within the limits and
possibilities of created existence.
