The next generation in body protection. The AyrVest by Airowear is distinctive, offering dual protection to riders in case of a fall. The innovative pairing of the foundation body protection foam with a unique air circulation system, both of which are individually tested and certified, provides riders with exceptional coverage.
Air Circulation System
The mid layer of the AyrVest contains a unique Air Circulation System, as developed by the designers at Airowear and Charles Owen and tested and certified to SATRA M38:FEB2015. The unique qualities of the air system provide greater coverage than previously available to riders.
• 60cc of gas power expands into a more advanced protection zone that offers greater stopping distances for the body and therefore preventing more injury.
• This protection zone contains the pressure within itself, the burst of the air into the vest has no uncomfortable impact to the rider. It is a softer feel, as the pressure of the expansion is focused outwards and away from the body, preventing crushing of the lungs.
Foundation Layer
Both foundation body protectors are made of a multi-layer foam which self-adjusts and moulds to the body. Tested and certified to the highest standard in body protection (EN13158:2009, BETA Level 3), the foundation layer of protection is offered in 2 options:
Flexion® Technology
• Four-way stretch structure that allows the foundation of the AyrVest to mould around and move with the body, offering both flexibility and elasticity.
• The air circulation system is encased to prevent over- expansion and puncturing.
• The movement of the body and its natural response to protect itself is maintained.
Greater coverage at inflation
• Air rises up to grip the jaw and stabilize the head and at the rear offers support to reduce hyperextension of the neck.
• Front and rear built-in expansion chambers create a protective tent when inflated.
• Controlled airways create an “air bridge” effect over the zip, offering added protection to the sternum.
• Air system inflates much further down the body to provide extended protection to the pelvis and hips.
• Flexible foam structure that stretches and hugs the body for a snugger feel than the Flexion® while offering the same protection.

The outer layer gilet of the AyrVest is made up of a soft shell material, tailored for style that still flexes and stretches with the rider.
