$10,000 drawing winner Cynthia McCraney\u000ABetween June 14-September 10, COVID-19 vaccinated URMC employees were entered in the \u201CSummer Gold Rush\u201D COVID-19 Vaccination Drawings. The purpose of the drawings was to encourage employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Weekly prizes, such as an iPad and Yeti Cooler, were given. This was a raffle permitted by the Upson County Sheriff\u2019s office.\u000AThe promotion definitely boosted URMC employee vaccination. On the first day of the drawings, 50.2% of staff were vaccinated. By the end of the promotion, 77% of URMC employees were vaccinated.\u000AOn September 10, 2021, the last day of the promotion, URMC employee Cynthia McCraney received the grand prize of $10,000! She sure was smiling under her mask.\u000A 12\u000A
