the DBD can use the Web Services system to search juristic person information by name or registration number in real-time and utilize this data immediately. This significantly accelerates processes, saves time, and reduces the cost of obtaining government documents.
As of October 2024, the DBD has already authorized 170 government/state agencies and organizations to connect with the DBD’s juristic person database for verification purposes according to their respective roles. In the previous year (2023), a total of 52 million juristic person data searches were conducted through the Web Services system, saving an estimated THB 7 billion per year in paper consumption costs. Key government/state agencies that leverage the DBD’s Web Services data linkage system to reduce paper-based communication and requests between government entities include the Bank of Thailand, the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), and the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In April 2024, the DBD, in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), and 10 other government agencies, i.e. 1) Food and Drug Administration, 2) Department of Land, 3) Treasury Department, 4) Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), 5) Department of Industrial Works, 6) Comptroller General’s Department, 7) Revenue
