WORLD WAR II LOOKOUT TOWER Located on Sunset Blvd. in Cape May it was part of coastal defenses during World War II, this 100 ft. tower built in 1942 is the last lookout tower remaining on the southern New Jersey coast. For a small fee, visitors can climb a staircase where Observers answer questions and can view displays and exhibits honoring veterans.
VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL WALL The only permanent Vietnam Memorial replica in the Northeast, is an exact, half-size, black granite replica of the official Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. It has the 58,913 names of our country’s fallen heroes from the Vietnam War etched on its panels and stretches for 240 feet along the sidewalk of Columbus Park in Wildwood, NJ.
NAVAL AIR STATION WILDWOOD (NASW) AVIATION MUSEUM
is at the Cape May Airport inside a real World War II hangar. NASW was a former Naval base, that was used during the war to train dive bomber pilots from 1943 to 1945. The museum that houses a number of aircraft, engines, special exhibits, and educational interactive displays. A great activity for a rainy day or to get out of the sun.
THE TATHAM LIFE SAVING STATION AND MUSEUM Located at Second Ave. and 117th St., the Stephen C. Ludlam American Legion Post 331 has diligently preserved this former Life Saving Station built in 1895 and is the oldest
