O C E A N C I T Y will always be known as “America’s Greatest Family Resort” as online voters have chosen it for the ninth consecutive year as “New Jersey’s Favorite Beach” in a poll by the N.J. Sea Grant Consortium. This recognition is well deserved as the town continues to make its beaches, thriving boardwalk, beautiful back bays, diversified downtown shopping, and special events the standard for beach vacations.
Ocean City’s beach experience with its miles long strand of gloriously clean, maintained beaches is the most popular place of this resort. This sandy oasis provides beachgoers options to be near the boardwalk shops and eateries, or quiet places to relax and enjoy the views of elaborate sandcastle sculptures and colorful sailboats on the horizon. Ocean City’s iconic boardwalk may be just as popular as the beautiful beaches with bikers and joggers in the morning, beachgoers during the day and amusement seekers and shoppers at night. Morning bike rides, afternoon pizza and amusement rides after dinner is how the lazy days of summer play out for many visitors.
