IN THE WILDWOODS, there’s something new to discover around every corner. The Wildwoods have some of the most beautiful, wide, and free beaches found anywhere along the east coast. There are plenty of quiet places to relax, or you can get in the middle of all the sun splashed action. The beach is not just about suntans and relaxation, it’s filled with exciting events like the International Kite Festival in May, the Barefoot Country Music Fest in June, where some of the biggest stars take to the stage right on the beach. Special events happen all year with gems like The Race of Gentlemen’ Vintage Car & Motorcycle Beach Drag Races, Irish Festival, and the Wildwoods ‘50s ‘60s & ‘70s Weekend.
Complementing the beach tradition is the legendary two and a half miles of the Wildwoods boardwalk that overlooks the glorious beach. From Spring to Fall, this icon of the Jersey Cape is full of activity with spectacular amusement piers, world-class roller coasters, waterparks, shops and eateries. The boardwalk’s anchor attraction is Morey’s Piers, a world-class attraction full of amusement rides for all ages, two water parks, and plenty of food, beverage and games. The entertainment mecca of the boardwalk is the Wildwoods Convention Center, the beachfront host of many of the best special events, concerts, exhibits and scholastic sports. Added to the memorable days on the beach and exciting nights on the boardwalk is beautiful Byrne Plaza in Downtown Wildwood, featuring entertaining events of music, shopping, food and more. All the family will want to relax and dine at one of the many unique restaurants serving the freshest seafood, artisan menu creations and the best views. Completing the vacation experience is a vast watersports scene, with exciting parasailing, waverunners and sightseeing, or relaxing kayaking, fishing, and crabbing.
