Another success at this years Lions 2-X1 Univer- sity. Classes were held on Saturday June 11, 2016. I had the pleasure of at- tending and preparing my- self as a board member I graduated with my Bache- lors. You don’t know how awesome it is to have the opportunity to learn the duties. This coming from a member back In Wyoming where the entire state is a District. When they of- fered training for us up
there they would hold it at the Zone level. A few strong members from Cody would come down and teach the entire group the hi-lights of each office. They would section it off by the hour.
So Kudos to Texas for really teaching these offi- cers the duties they are expected to perform to prepare them for their terms.
My Lion of the Month is Lion Dora Harrington. As I am fairly new, Okay maybe not so new to this club but to those who are joining the Plano Early Li- ons Club this may give you a chance to know some not so serious side of your fellow Li- ons.
Tell me about when and why you became a Lion?
I became a Lion in 2007, be- cause I was asked.
If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why?
The musician I really don't know. But the group would be
the Blackwood Brothers. Be- cause I love their old time Gos- pel music.
If you had to live without one of your five senses which one would you give up?
Of my senses would be taste, that way I could not taste what someone else is cooking.
If you could live in a book, movie or TV show what would it be? Laramie, because I love old Western movies.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be? I would love to go to Germany, because that is where I was born.
What would be your perfect job?
My perfect job would be to land my first Paralegal job.
