By District Governor Henry White
Thank you all who were in attendance on March 24, 2018 at the 4th District
Cabinet Meeting. We had excellent reporting by the Service and Zone Chairs. It was wonderful to see so many clubs working service projects. If your club supplied to TRLC at the cabinet meeting, please report it. We just completed the vision project. Lion Gene Lefever, the district Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center Chairperson, reported that on March 24, 2018 he received over 15,000 pair of glass to send to Midland, Texas. Zone Chairs please help your club do their reporting.
I would like to report that the District Convention room rate will go up from $99 on April 12, 2018. Please register or contact Lion A. P. or Lion John Joy before the deadline.
Lions International have a new program, I am asking every Lions Club in 2- X1 to participate, and your club will automatically be entered into a drawing for the club chance to win $750.Your club must sponsor a New Members between April 1 and June 15, 2018 to be eligible to win.
Two winners per constitutional area will be selected at random and notified by email. Our International President Naresh Aggarwal has sent each Club President a letter about the program, please share with your club’s members (see page 7).
Membership is so dear to my heart. Lions International only gives credit to clubs for their members’ dues in January and July when the member has dropped. If your club paid membership dues in January, instead of dropping them in February or March, please keep them or have them move to another club. If they move from the area, help them find a new club in the area they are moving to.
We do have good news! Carrollton Host, Coppell, (Continued page 17) VOLUME 28 ISSUE 10 / APRIL 2018 PAGE 1
