Cairo
Shisha Smoker, Khan Khalili - 1998
Are we all entrapped in some way, at some level?
Do we only reflect after the party’s over or when life ebbs away
and all we have is the Shisha to crouch over?
The dusty, polluted air of Cairo, with the cityscape melting in the midday heat. The elements are forged together. A sea of humanity meant for dignity and yet enduring lives in tombs meant for the dead.
