Mountains of Petra - 1995
How exciting when borders ease and access is made possible, even if for a few. My dash to Jordan, from Eilat, was to see Petra, Jebel Haroon and Wadi Musa from Prince Hassan's back garden. What colours! The chiselled structures of Petra are breathtaking. How frenzied and ear shattering it must have been for the original residents, listening to the sounds of crashing hammers all day long!
