My family and I sailed into Haifa on 1st August 1991. Immersed into a different world, we settled in Jerusalem.
Little did we know what would be in store
and how long we would remain. We came to see what would happen. Experiences and travels are woven into images that reflect the frustrations, sadness and joy in what finally emerges as a pilgrimage. A journey in watercolours, not confined to recording places but a reflection of how a heart responds to significant encounters against an inherent urge to ascend.
Avoiding geographic classification and minimising the need for commentaries, the images unfold as a loose chronology occasionally interrupted to include paintings that compliment the flow of the presentation.
Jerusalem has impressed her hallmark.
