First glimpse of the Treasury - 1998
I am happy to be back in Petra, even for a fleeting visit.
A lengthy walk through the canyon is soon rewarded with the first glimpse of Al Khazneh coming into view.
The Treasury of Pharaoh bursts on the stage as soon as you press through the narrow passage. What a sight! The scale is phenomenal and sheer solidity has preserved these wonders for the last two millennia.
