Neat-Clean Air Conditioning Install

It’s interesting how the desires of Jaguar enthusiasts have changed over the years. For the last several years there’s been a shift
toward updating to modern standards with improved brakes, power windows, ve-speed transmissions, air conditioning and

the like. All the while there’s been an emphasis, however, on not altering the car’s appearance; all modi cations must look as
‘factory’ as possible.

While these air conditioning upgrades are

o ered as a kit, they should only be installed
by a knowledgeable service technician and/or

workshop.

The workshop within XKs Unlimited, known as
XKS Motorsport, prides itself on making updates

with the ‘factory look’ as a high priority. The
air conditioning kits we have sourced t that

bill perfectly. They’re of excellent quality, well
engineered and complete. Kits include: High-

tech parallel- ow condenser, new (not rebuilt)

Sanden-type compressor, evaporator, compres-
sor brackets, expansion valve, drier, hoses, all

mounting hardware & brackets, instructions and
pictures.

As you can see in the under-bonnet shot,

(left) of our customer car, a new alloy radiator
upgrade and electric cooling fan have also been

installed along with the new compressor and plumbing. These modern R134a systems have been tested in some of the hottest

weather the U.S. has to o er and deliver vent temperatures of 33° to 42° F (1° to 6° C). We’re all for doing whatever it takes to
beat the interior heat and enjoy driving your Jaguar even more. Four kits are available for the various six-cylinder Series I and

Series II cars, RHD or LHD E-Types. XKs Unlimited o ers kits for E-Types, MK II, 3.8S, MK IX and 420 cars.
