Electric Power Steering Conversions

If you nd your XK’s steering is too heavy at slow speeds,
we have a solution: an EZ Power Steering conversion that’s

hidden under the dashboard. The standard steering box/
rack remains unchanged, as does the steering ratio and un-

der-bonnet appearance. Steering assist is fully adjustable

and is sensitive to speed and load.

Because the electric power steering system is speed sen-
sitive, it provides assistance at low speeds but retains your

XK’s steering feel at higher speeds. And, the amount of
assistance can be adjusted to suit the driver’s preference

or to compensate for wider tires or a smaller steering wheel.
With classic hydraulic systems, the “feel” is not adjustable and of-

ten too light at high speeds. And should the electric system ever
fail (highly unlikely, we should add) the car would steer exactly as

Note: Installation in an XK-120 is more complex that other models, it requires taking a section out of the steering column tube and shaft. Welding is
required and some material must be removed under the dash. The XK-140 and XK-150 upgrade is much simpler than a 120 but under-dash sheet metal
