Ensure your lounge has enough ambient light in addi on to those well placed Christmas lights, a carefully chosen table or oor lamp can make all the di erence to the feel and ambience of a room.
Think of your decora on and ligh ng in the manner of a variety of layers and levels, building up the e ect.
Nice ideas to bring some Christmas cheer to your home are the odd fes ve cushion on your sofa or favourite chair.
When you are certain to be invaded (no we meant visited) by copious amounts of friends and family, why not set up a hot drinks / mini bar / snack sta on for visitors to simply help themselves and take the pressure o you!
For extra layers of decora on why not hang a garland from your staircase, and add some personal touches with some of your close family Christmas cards interspersed with some of your favourite family pictures (black & white look great).
