The Tree
A “real” spruce pine decorated with Reds, Greens and Gold’s, tinsel and baubles and an Angel at the top
The Dinner Table
A festive table cloth
with matching napkins, your best cutlery with Willow patterned crockery, best wine glasses with a few well-placed sprigs of holly
The Food
Roast Turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, carrots, turnips, parsnips and sprouts with lashings of
gravy. Followed by a Christmas Pudding with, of course, brandy sauce
The Wrapping
Brown paper tied with string, or printed paper in traditional reds, whites and greens
The Gifts
The special one, the novelty, the joke, the socks, the soap on a rope, the deodorant!
The Family
All gather together
for lunch and the unwrapping of gifts in the afternoon. Traditional party games of charades or card games
