This module specically caters to the needs of nursing students in developing their communication skills in
English for their professional endeavors. As one of the Series of Vocational English modules in Language
Training Center (LTC) UMY, Advanced Communication in Nursing provides an opportunity for nursing
students to practice building communication among peers and patients in the context of healthcare services, Pradana Akbar Tanjung, S.Pd., M.Pd.
and to prepare for their job application in the future. Advanced Communication in Nursing covers the four
essential topics namely, Nursing Care Plan, Nursing Health Education, Nursing Portfolio, and Nursing Job Siti Nurjanah, S.Pd., M.Pd.

THE COURSE MAKERS: ADVANCED COMMUNICATION IN NURSING
Pradana Akbar Tanjung is a curriculum and material developer at the Language Training
Center (LTC) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta where he is in charge of the
completion of the learning modules and materials as well as the curriculum design for
its various courses and programs.
Siti Nurjanah is a testing and assessment PIC at the Language Training Center (LTC) of
Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Besides having the responsibility to teach
English for various study programs, she is in charge in handling the testing and
assessment in LTC.
Ika Widhy Retnary is an instructor at the Language Training Center (LTC) of Universitas
Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, where she has responsibility to teach English for various
study programs in various faculties.
