PROFANA FLOOR LAMP
Every home needs a floor lamp that makes a statement. This lamp, from Brazilian designer Pedro Paulo Venzon, does just that, thanks to its sculptural steel form. While it was supposedly inspired by a collection of essays by the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben, we can’t help but see a bird in its slender form, thanks to its splayed feet, long neck, and ex- tended tail. The latter can be used to adjust the position of the lamp’s light source, while an internal dimmer means it can be made to suit any mood or time of day. $2,980 USD
