RE: Driver Performance & Disciplinary Policy
CSA 2010 is the new standard from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The previous FMCSA program only tracked company safety performance. CSA 2010 tracks company and individual driver performance.
All roadside inspection items have a point value assigned. The results of all roadside inspections and point violations are tracked specifically to each driver and reflect on overall company safety ratings. All drivers need to be aware of the impact this has on their individual driving record. Foltz Trucking, Inc. is required to have a disciplinary policy based on the driver’s points assessed at roadside inspections. This policy is effectively immediately as outlined below.
Points are assigned for all violations found at roadside inspections (see chart, page 2). Therefore, the goal is to have the lowest point score possible. Drivers may reduce their points by having ‘clean’ inspections, as noted below.

Foltz Trucking, Inc. has established the following disciplinary policy for all its drivers. Disciplinary measures will be taken based on the driver’s accumulated points recorded in CSA 2010 database.
