of the
HOLY HEART
The Diamond of Compassion
Is the inexorable tenderness
Of being the beauty of egoless sensitivity Wherein we cannot keep smiling and smiling Eating our ice cream
In a self made parlor
Safe and insulated from the cries of others As they sit relegated to the outside
The unheard, sitting on the outside
When we see our sisters in humankind
Through the thick sound proof glass windows
Of self-preservation
Compassion finds no friends or companions
The species wide pervading aloneness...
That all feel, if they sit alone long enough to honestly feel
