nativity and the events surrounding it. It was decided to do
something different by looking at the birth of Jesus and what
amazing things came from that event – his life, death,
resurrection and coming again. I called on the expertise of
Ally Barrett, one of the Jubilate hymn writers, to write the
text. She came up with some wonderful lyrics and, together
with my music, “King of Kings” was born. The piece was
recorded by Dundonald Church Choir in September. John
Lumgair of Quirky Motion created the video animation and
both music and video were released for Christmas. It was a
joy to work with the choir, Ally and John to create something
